Turkish tomato paste is used in almost all Turkish cooking, and is often blended with hot pepper paste or mild pepper paste. The Melis tomato paste gives the flavour of tomatoes that have been cooked for hours – but it only takes you seconds to add it! Use the double concentrated Turkish tomato paste in Turkish lentil soups, stews, kisir bulgur wheat salad, and the Turkish aubergine dish, imam bayildi.
