Yutaka Katsuo Dashi Bags bonito powder sachets are a quick and easy way to make umami-rich dashi stock.
Dashi is the base of many Japanese soups, sauces and ramen broths. A clear broth with a punchy savoury flavour, dashi complements the other umami flavours that are central to Japanese cooking.
To prepare, soak 1 sachet in around 160-200ml of boiling water for 3-5 mins.
